چکیده

In this paper, we study the secrecy rates over weak Gaussian interference channels for different transmission schemes. We focus on the low-SNR regime and obtain the minimum bit energy Eb N0 min values, and the wideband slope regions for both TDMA and multiplexed transmission schemes. We show that secrecy constraints introduce a penalty in both the minimum bit energy and the slope regions. Additionally, we identify under what conditions TDMA or multiplexed transmission is optimal. Finally, we show that TDMA is more likely to be optimal in the presence of secrecy constraints.

Strong Secrecy for Interference Channels: Achievable Rate Region and Degrees of Freedom

The achievable rate region and degrees of freedom are studied for interference channels with confidential messages under strong secrecy constraints. The problem is studied based on the framework of Han and Verdú’s channel resolvability theory. It is shown that if the random binning rate for securing a confidential message is slightly above the resolution of its corresponding wiretapped channel,...

Providing Secrecy With Structured Codes: Tools and Applications to Two-User Gaussian Channels

Recent results have shown that structured codes can be used to construct good channel codes, source codes and physical layer network codes for Gaussian channels. For Gaussian channels with secrecy constraints, however, efforts to date rely on random codes. In this work, we advocate that structured codes are useful for providing secrecy, and show how to compute the secrecy rate when structured c...

Optimal Power Allocation for Secrecy Fading Channels Under Spectrum-Sharing Constraints

In the spectrum-sharing technology, a secondary user may utilize the primary user’s licensed band as long as its interference to the primary user is below a tolerable value. In this paper, we consider a scenario in which a secondary user is operating in the presence of both a primary user and an eavesdropper. Hence, the secondary user has both interference limitations and security consideration...

Power Control and Scheduling For Low SNR Region in the Uplink of Two Cell Networks

In this paper we investigate the sub-channel assignment and power control to maximize the total sum rate in the uplink of two-cell network. It is assumed that there are some sub-channels in each cell which should be allocated among some users. Also, each user is subjected to a power constraint. The underlying problem is a non-convex mixed integer non-linear optimization problem which does not h...

Secrecy Rate Region of Miso Interference Channel: Pareto Boundary and Non-cooperative Games

Competition in interference channels is modeled using noncooperative game theory. The well known Nash equilibrium often leads to inefficient solutions. In the current work, we study the achievable secrecy rate of a multiple-antenna (MISO) interference channel (IFC). First, we characterize the Pareto boundary of the secrecy rate region. Next, the parameterization is exploited to compute the Nash...
